Rachel Kaplan, born in New York City, is the President/Founder of the Paris-based Events & Company. Ms. Kaplan has had a life-long passion for French art de vivre and European history and culture.
Born into a family of Francophiles, she was educated at the Lyçée Français de New York. A graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Ms. Kaplan went on to pursue a career in business journalism and international media and marketing communication for such clients as Lintas Worldwide and the Lagardère Group’s US Division of Hachette Magazines.
She has lived in Paris since 1994, where she wrote and published six books including a series for Harry N. Abrams on four major European capitals, including Little-Known Museums In and Around Paris, London, Berlin and Rome. She is also the author of Best Buys to French Chic.
Acclaimed by such leading publications as Travel & Leisure, Departures, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe and Town & Country, Ms. Kaplan has also made guest appearances on American, British and French television and radio.
Events & Company, backed by a team of multilingual guides and assistants, has hosted families and groups from all over the world including Middle Eastern royalty, U.S. political figures, and Hollywood talent. Vincent-Emmanuel Ragot has joined the team at Events & Company as our VIP antique, jewelry and art buying specialist for groups and private collectors. A professional auctioneer, he has a degree in both gemology and in the legal aspects of art buying. His background in public relations includes director of communications for Buccellati, followed by a three-year stint as director of international public relations at Boucheron. During this period, Vincent-Emmanuel also communicated on the history and prestige of the Place Vendôme through the Comité Vendôme. His private and exclusive clientèle regularly benefits from the best advice in interior design, antique buying at the major fairs including Maastricht and the Biennale des Antiquaires. A passionate defender of French heritage and culture, as well as the author of an important book on Buccellati, Events & Company is honored to be collaborating with this outstanding talent.
Born in Paris, France, Audrey Mahé is a graduate of the French business school ESSCA with a major in International Business.
Fluent in written and spoken English, Audrey is passionate about event planning and the luxury market. She is the Event Coordinator at Events & Company. You can count on Audrey for her professionalism and her attention to detail.
